Wow! What an opening chapter! I am already in the story, which promises to be full of surprises.

The most uncanny detail which struck me is the wild hair! Believe it or not, I also wrote a novel where the main character, a girl, a bit younger than Charlotte, has this 'hair condition' which gets her bullied at school... but that's another story.

Can't wait to read your next chapters (got to go now, visitors are coming soon, but I will be back)

I thought (and hoped) you'd like it.

It is an unusual story, in the sense that it is not driven by an apparent conflict and the actual narrative lies beneath the surface.

You mentioned your novels a few times, and I am curious too. Can I read them somewhere?

I love it already! 💖🙏

I haven't published any of my novels. I wrote them (5 novels for Middle Grade fantasy/ magic realism) during a period when I needed a break from my Synchronosophy project (a kind of burnout)

I might publish them here in the future.

My novels are also not driven by the usual anthropocentric conflict, competition model (no surprise!) there are mainly inner conflicts and the main drive is towards cooperation (always with plenty of fantasy creatures). I sent some of them to various competitions but never even got on the longlist. I think publishers don't recognise that this is an entirely different genre!

We should introduce our own literary genre, Bertus.

What a beginning! Glad Kimberly pointed me to this serialization. I’m loving serials these days. And this promises to be a terrific one!
